About the YAC

 

  

Wisconsin Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of fifteen current and former foster youth from across the state of Wisconsin.

The group also involves many professionals from the State and other organizations as advisors to the group.

 
Meeting

The council meets quarterly to go over business and other information regarding foster youth in our state. We also share opportunities and other information with each other to better the foster care community.

 

  
We were formed in Fall of 2007 as an advocacy group following the formation of other local YACs, and decided that foster youth needed a statewide body to perform education and advocacy actions.
